Network Engineer

Rochester, MN or Austin, MN

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our infrastructure engineering team. This is a hands-on role responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise networking environments. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who can independently execute network deployments and upgrades while collaborating effectively with peers across the organization.

This position offers an opportunity to work with modern Cisco networking technologies in a highly visible environment supporting critical business operations.

What You’ll Do

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure
• Install and support Cisco switching and routing platforms
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, and reliability issues across Layers 1-3 of the OSI model
• Deploy and support access layer and distribution layer networking environments
• Participate in network upgrades, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure improvement initiatives
• Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
• Collaborate with engineering teams, project stakeholders, and operations personnel to ensure successful project delivery

What We’re Looking For

Core Qualifications

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and the OSI model, with emphasis on Layers 1-3
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting network issues at the appropriate physical, data link, and network layers
• Hands-on experience configuring, deploying, and supporting Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series switches
• Hands-on experience configuring, deploying, and supporting Cisco Catalyst 8000 Series routers
• Experience working within enterprise networking environments and executing infrastructure installations with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills with a commitment to documentation and team collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience configuring Multi-Chassis EtherChannel (MEC)
• SD-WAN deployment, administration, or support experience
• Experience supporting large-scale or geographically distributed network environments

Education & Experience

Qualified candidates will meet one of the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and at least 2 years of professional technical experience, OR
• Associate degree and at least 4 years of professional technical experience, OR
• 6+ years of professional technical experience in lieu of a degree
