This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing, private equity-backed healthcare platform that is actively scaling across the U.S. The company is investing heavily in its Finance and Accounting infrastructure and is seeking a Director of Strategic Finance to help drive M&A execution, build sophisticated financial models, support executive decision-making, and create scalable processes across an expanding portfolio of businesses. You’ll gain direct exposure to senior leadership, PE sponsors, and strategic initiatives while playing a critical role in shaping the company’s future growth trajectory.
The Role:
The Director of Strategic Finance provides strategic financial leadership by partnering with executive leadership and Company Leaders to drive long-term business performance across emerging growth organizations. This role leads financial planning and analysis, develops sophisticated financial models, conducts market and competitive research, and delivers executive-level insights that support strategic decision-making, growth initiatives, and enterprise value creation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the leader of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function, managing the annual budget process, long-term strategic planning, rolling forecasts, financial reporting, and executive-level performance insights.
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models, scenario planning analyses, and business cases that support mergers and acquisitions, new market opportunities, strategic investments, and other key corporate initiatives.
- Perform market assessments, competitive intelligence, and industry benchmarking to uncover growth opportunities and deliver actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
- Partner closely with leaders across Portfolio Operations, Accounting, Revenue Cycle, Business Intelligence, and Finance to improve performance, optimize profitability, and support data-driven decisions.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team while promoting a culture centered on accountability, partnership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring to the Table
Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of progressive experience within Strategic Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Corporate Finance, or a related field.
- Investment Banking experience and an MBA are highly desired
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline required; MBA and/or CFA designation strongly preferred.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities, with a proven track record of supporting executive decision-making in high-growth and/or private equity-backed environments.
- Demonstrated success leading finance teams and effectively partnering with senior leaders across multiple functional areas.
- Outstanding analytical, communication, presentation, and research skills, with the ability to distill complex financial information into clear strategic insights and recommendations for executive audiences.
