Distribution Field Technician
Location: Richmond, VA (Field-Based)
Schedule: Full-Time

About the Role
We are seeking motivated individuals to join a growing team supporting infrastructure and field operations projects. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who enjoy working outdoors, traveling, learning new technology, and building a long-term career in engineering, utilities, telecommunications, surveying, or GIS-related fields.
This position is primarily field-based and involves collecting information, documenting infrastructure assets, and utilizing mobile technology to support engineering and operational teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform field data collection and site observations
- Document infrastructure assets using tablets and mobile applications
- Capture measurements, photographs, and field notes
- Work outdoors in varying terrain and weather conditions
- Travel to project locations throughout assigned territories
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of field conditions
- Communicate findings and project updates to team members
- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines
- Support project teams with timely and accurate field information
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable working outdoors for the majority of the workday
- Ability to travel regularly, including overnight stays during the week
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer and mobile device proficiency
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to walk extensively and work on uneven terrain
