Real Estate Fund Accountant (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Minneapolis, MN (North Loop)
Schedule: Hybrid, 4 days onsite / 1 day remote
Compensation: Up to $110,000 annually (DOE)
Join a growing real estate investment and development firm seeking a Fund Accountant to support fund-level accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, and multi-entity operations. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with strong long-term growth potential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
- Perform consolidations and intercompany accounting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Review third-party property accounting records
- Support audit and tax processes
- Maintain compliance with accounting policies and reporting requirements
- Partner with Investor Relations and internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Fund accounting experience required
- Experience with consolidations, budgeting, and intercompany transactions
- Multi-entity accounting experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to thrive in a growing, evolving environment
- Yardi experience highly preferred
- Real estate, private equity, REIT, or portfolio accounting experience preferred
