Part-Time Medical Front Desk Administrator

Location: Minnetonka, MN
Schedule: 32 hours per week, full hours onsite
Shift: 8-hour day shifts with start times varying between 6:00 AM, 6:30 AM, and 8:00 AM
Employment Type: Contract, Part-Time
Pay Rate: $23-$24/hour, depending on experience

About the Opportunity

Beacon Hill’s client is seeking a Part-Time Medical Front Desk Administrator to support a busy ambulatory surgery center in Minnetonka, MN. This role is ideal for an administrative professional with healthcare front desk experience who enjoys providing exceptional patient service while ensuring a smooth and organized check-in process.

The primary focus of this position is welcoming patients, completing registration activities, and supporting daily administrative operations within the surgery center. This is a fully onsite opportunity requiring all scheduled hours to be worked on location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and assist them through the check-in and registration process with professionalism and care.
  • Ensure patient information is accurate, complete, and properly documented within the system.
  • Prepare and organize patient charts and supporting documentation for clinical staff.
  • Maintain the front desk area and assist with daily administrative functions to support efficient clinic operations.
  • Coordinate registration-related activities and help ensure a positive patient experience from arrival through check-in.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to support workflow and patient scheduling needs as required.
  • Perform additional clerical and administrative duties to help keep the surgery center running smoothly.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a medical front desk, patient registration, or healthcare administrative role.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting the front desk of a surgery center or similar specialty healthcare setting.
  • Experience using Epic electronic medical records (EMR) software.
  • Familiarity with patient scheduling and registration processes.
  • Knowledge of healthcare documentation and chart management procedures.
