Payroll Specialist
Ready to take your payroll experience beyond the traditional payroll function? Our client in the Vancouver area is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join its supportive accounting team on a temporary-to-hire basis. This is an opportunity to take ownership of payroll while developing valuable, broader accounting experience.
In this role, you will:
- Take ownership of recurring payroll processing and deadlines
- Review timesheets and resolve discrepancies
- Respond to payroll-related questions
- Prepare reports and reconciliations
- Support journal entries and related accounting tasks
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and special projects
Prior AP/AR experience is not required. What matters is that you are dependable, think through problems, manage deadlines, and are genuinely interested in learning beyond payroll.
To be considered for this Payroll Specialist opportunity, you will need:
- 3+ years of payroll experience
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Effective time management
- Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
