A Beacon Hill client in the manufactoring is seeking an Entry Level Staff Accountant to join their team in Camden County, NJ. This is a contract opportunity offering exposure to core accounting functions and the chance to develop within a growing finance organization with potenital for long term conversion. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 0-4+ years of accounting experience, including internships. Compensation is $55,000-$70,000 annually, depending on experience. Previous accounting internship or entry-level accounting experience is highly prefered.
Position Summary:
* Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger activity
* Perform bank, cash, and account reconciliations while researching discrepancies
* Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
* Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes as needed
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity within the ERP system
* Assist with financial reporting, account analysis, and variance investigations
* Support audit requests and provide documentation for internal and external auditors
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with special projects

Technical Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
* 0-4+ years of accounting experience, including internships or co-op experience
* Understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
* Experience with ERP systems preferred; Microsoft Dynamics 365 exposure is a plus
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* 0-4+ years of accounting experience, including internships or co-op experience
* Understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
* Experience with ERP systems preferred; Microsoft Dynamics 365 exposure is a plus
