Customer Service and Data Entry Clerk (Contract)
Location: St. Paul, MN (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week, 2 days remote)
Pay Rate: $21-$22 per hour
Assignment Type: Long-term contract (ongoing)
Position Overview
Beacon Hill’s client is seeking a Customer Service and Data Entry Clerk to support incoming business and service requests. This role blends outbound follow-up calls, inbound status inquiries, and accurate data entry related to customer applications. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working independently, and confident communicating with external partners and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound follow-up calls to confirm the status of pending items with external organizations.
- Answer inbound phone calls related to basic application status inquiries from external partners and internal teams.
- Review applications and complete accurate data entry, including initial setup and validation of required information.
- Identify missing or unclear information and proactively contact partners for clarification or resolution.
- Maintain and manage pending and follow-up cases, ensuring timely communication of status updates.
- Independently prioritize daily work items to meet service level expectations and client needs.
- Document all activities clearly and consistently within internal systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, procedures, and checklists to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Support additional workload and overtime as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service experience, including inbound and outbound phone communication.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Solid data entry skills with comfort navigating multiple systems.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to work overtime as business needs require.
