Our client, a leading construction company, is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for a multi-state workforce. This role requires experience with construction payroll, certified payroll reporting, and prevailing wage compliance.
Responsibilities:
* Process weekly/bi-weekly payroll for union and non-union employees
* Manage certified payroll and prevailing wage reporting (Davis-Bacon compliance)
* Oversee garnishments, deductions, and benefit contributions
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll/tax regulations
* Partner with HR and project managers to resolve payroll issues
* Lead payroll staff and improve processes for efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications:
* 5+ years payroll experience, including 2+ years in construction payroll management
* Strong knowledge of certified payroll and prevailing wage laws
* Proficiency with construction payroll systems (Viewpoint, Sage 300 CRE, CMiC, or similar)
* Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines
