We are seeking a hands-on Inventory Control Specialist to support warehouse operations with a primary focus on cycle counts and maintaining accurate inventory levels. This role will be responsible for performing regular cycle counts, physically verifying inventory, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring inventory accuracy within the ERP system. In addition to inventory management, this position will assist with transportation coordination and logistics for outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment and be comfortable working directly with inventory and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform daily and weekly cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels.
* Physically verify inventory and investigate discrepancies, identifying root causes and resolving variances.
* Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system, including PO scanning and inventory updates.
* Support year-end physical inventory counts and assist with inventory audits as needed.
* Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing and operations teams to ensure inventory accuracy and smooth material flow.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with maintaining appropriate stock levels.
* Support shipping and receiving operations by verifying inventory for inbound and outbound materials.
* Assist with transportation coordination, including helping obtain freight quotes and supporting outgoing project shipments.
* Help maintain daily shipping and traffic schedules.
* Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and operational processes.
Qualifications:
* 3-5+ years of experience in inventory control, materials management, or warehouse operations.
* Strong experience performing cycle counts and managing physical inventory.
* Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred.
* Experience using ERP systems for inventory tracking.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Schedule:
* Monday – Friday
* Typical hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
* Earlier start time of 6:00 AM may be preferred.
