Payroll Specialist

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Prevailing Wage Specialist to manage weekly payroll and ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements. This role is critical for maintaining accuracy and meeting state and federal reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly payroll using an in-house system.
• Handle payroll for both hourly field employees and salaried office staff.
• Calculate and apply prevailing wage rates for multiple ongoing projects.
• Complete weekly prevailing wage reporting by entering data on state and federal websites.
• Maintain high accuracy to prevent compliance issues and potential fines.
• Communicate with subcontractors, providing prevailing wage data and guidance on processes.
• Respond to inquiries and assist with payroll and reporting questions.

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Familiarity with payroll processing and prevailing wage compliance preferred.
• Ability to navigate state and federal reporting systems.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with subcontractors and internal teams.
