Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Biologist to join a research team focused on advancing plant biotechnology. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in biology who are eager to expand their skills in laboratory techniques, data analysis, and experimental workflows.
Key Responsibilities

Perform eukaryotic cell isolation and transfection/transformation using standard laboratory methods and liquid handling systems.

Conduct cell-based assays (luminescence, absorbance, imaging) using manual and automated approaches.

Analyze and visualize experimental data using software tools such as Excel or Spotfire; prepare summary reports.

Support assay workflows, including preparation of reagents and buffers, organization of consumables, and inventory tracking.

Maintain and monitor plant growth for use in assay workflows; collaborate with colleagues to fulfill plant tissue requests.

Assist in troubleshooting instrumentation, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring accurate calibration.

Follow laboratory safety protocols, documentation practices, and quality standards.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field with 1-3 years of laboratory experience (or equivalent practical training).

Broad understanding of molecular and/or cellular biology principles.

Familiarity with assay development, QC testing, or data analysis is preferred.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to new techniques.

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
