Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Biologist to support research and development activities in controlled environment settings. This role involves working hands-on with row crops including canola, corn, cotton, and soybeans in greenhouse and growth chamber facilities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about plant biology, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and be flexible in adapting to shifting priorities within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Sow, transplant, and maintain plants through all growth stages in greenhouse and growth chamber settings

Monitor plant health and environmental conditions; report abnormalities to supervisors

Harvest crops and process seed according to study protocols

Maintain cleanliness and organization of all workspaces and plant care equipment

Discard non-viable plant material and adhere to biosafety standards

Accurately follow SOPs for all assigned tasks

Work occasional rotating weekend shifts as part of a team schedule
Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Horticulture, Agronomy, Plant Science, or a related field

Hands-on experience in controlled environments or greenhouses preferred

Familiarity with basic plant biology and cultivation techniques

Strong observational and record-keeping skills

Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and perform manual plant care tasks
