Manufacturing Engineer / Manufacturing Planner – Flight Test & Certification Support
Location: 100% onsite in Everett, WA
Contract Length: 6‑month contract to start
We are seeking experienced Manufacturing Engineers and Manufacturing Planners to support aircraft modification activities required for Certification Flight Testing for Type Inspection Authorization (TIA). These roles contribute directly to configuration changes, planning development, and modification support for a commercial aircraft program.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a member of a Tiger Team supporting flight test-related modification projects
- Develop installation plans for configuration changes (test‑specific and production)
- Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering teams for planning instruction creation and revision
- Review installation plans for completeness and quality, including functional test requirements and bill of materials accuracy
- Identify and plan component removals associated with modification work
- Identify opportunities to reduce scope where appropriate
- Review tooling requirements to ensure compatibility with flightline operations
Shift & Work Expectations
- 1st shift
- Overtime expected, including some weekends
- No travel required
Basic Qualifications
- Assembly & Installation (A&I) Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Experience consistent with a Level 3 or 4 Manufacturing Engineer / Manufacturing Planner
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Systems, Electrical, or Propulsion engineering (preferred but not required)
- Experience with tools such as CMES, PDM, CAPP, ENOVIA, CATIA, IVT, or similar systems
- Experience with engineering change incorporation, modification instructions, and configuration management
- Experience with large commercial aircraft configurations
