Accounts Payable Manager
Hammonton, NJ (Hybrid) | $40-$52/hr | Contract-to-Hire
Beacon Hill is partnering with a professional services firm in Hammonton, NJ that is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join their team. This hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity offers the chance to step into a leadership role, oversee the full accounts payable function, and help drive process improvements within a growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle from invoice receipt through payment processing
- Supervise and mentor AP team members
- Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and payment batches
- Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor AP aging and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Develop and improve AP policies, procedures, and workflows
- Partner with accounting and leadership teams on reporting and process improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Previous AP leadership or management experience required
- Strong understanding of AP processes, controls, and best practices
- Experience managing high-volume invoice processing
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Excel
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on with day-to-day responsibilities
