Senior Accountant

Beacon Hill is staffing for a Senior Accountant opportunity with a growing chemical manufacturing company in Burlington County. This is a full on‑site, contract‑to‑hire position offering strong growth potential and a competitive PTO package.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Lead month‑end and quarter‑end close processes
• Maintain and analyze the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP
• Support cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation and manufacturing cost analysis
• Assist with preparing financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules
• Perform variance analysis related to production, materials, and inventory
• Collaborate with operations and production teams to review cost drivers and inventory movements
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
• Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-5+ years of accounting experience; manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of GAAP and cost accounting concepts
• Experience working with inventory, standard costing, or manufacturing environments
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
• Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Must be able to work fully on‑site, Monday-Friday
