Beacon Hill’s client in Cherry Hill, NJ, is seeking a Chargeback Analyst. This position sits onsite or hybrid. This role pays $24$28/hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, analyze, and resolve customer chargebacks, deductions, and short payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review chargeback documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, proof of delivery, pricing agreements, and promotional contracts.
  • Validate chargebacks for accuracy and compliance with customer agreements and company policies.
  • Prepare and submit disputes or appeals through customer portals or directly to customers when chargebacks are invalid.
  • Post approved chargebacks, credits, and adjustments accurately in the accounting system.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and audit trails for all chargeback activity and resolutions.
  • Monitor chargeback trends and identify root causes to help reduce future deductions.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, and Finance teams to resolve recurring issues.
  • Reconcile chargeback balances and assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
  • Generate chargeback aging reports and provide status updates to management as needed.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing chargeback documentation and explanations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Chargeback Analyst, AR Analyst, or in a similar accounts receivable role is required.
  • Strong understanding of chargebacks, deductions, credits, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Experience working with retailer portals and high-volume chargeback environments preferred.
  • Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, JD Edwards, AS400).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
