Learning & Development Specialist / Corporate Trainer

Position Summary
The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for identifying, developing, and delivering training programs that enhance employee performance and support organizational growth. This role partners with leadership and subject matter experts to assess learning needs, design engaging training solutions, and measure program effectiveness. Utilizing the ADDIE instructional design model, the Learning & Development Specialist creates impactful learning experiences for employees across all levels of the organization. Experience with training delivery, curriculum development, and train-the-trainer facilitation is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess organizational training and development needs through collaboration with leaders, managers, and employees.
  • Design, develop, and implement instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning programs utilizing the ADDIE methodology (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation).
  • Create training curricula, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, standard operating procedures, and e-learning content.
  • Facilitate engaging classroom, virtual, and one-on-one training sessions for employees and stakeholders.
  • Deliver train-the-trainer programs to equip internal trainers and subject matter experts with effective instructional techniques.
  • Establish learning objectives and success metrics aligned with business goals.
  • Develop assessments, surveys, and evaluation tools to measure training effectiveness and knowledge retention.
  • Analyze feedback and performance data to continuously improve training programs and learning outcomes.
  • Maintain training records, attendance documentation, and compliance-related learning requirements.
  • Support onboarding initiatives and professional development programs across the organization.
  • Stay current on adult learning principles, instructional design trends, and learning technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-7 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, Organizational Development, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and experience applying the ADDIE model.
  • Proven experience developing and delivering training programs for diverse audiences.
  • Experience facilitating train-the-trainer sessions and coaching internal trainers.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to engage audiences and present information effectively in classroom and virtual environments.
  • Strong project management, organization, and time management skills.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools preferred.
