Estimator / Project Manager
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM (Open to 7 AM-4 PM)
About the Role:
This is a newly created role designed to support the sales team as the company continues to experience record growth. Ideal candidates will have experience in estimating within the construction or contracting industry and be comfortable working with numbers throughout the day.
Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of estimating experience in the construction/contracting industry.

Strong attention to detail.

Comfortable working extensively with numbers.
Responsibilities:
Quantitative & Qualitative Tabulation

Gather necessary data for accurate material counts and quantities, including construction plans, specifications, and field surveys.

Conduct a handover review with sales representatives to capture customer requirements for product and pricing formulation.

Document and track product configurations and quantities for pricing estimates.

Develop product configurations that align with project manuals and field survey requirements.

Submit Requests for Information (RFIs) during the bidding process to clarify product options and resolve contradictions in construction documents.

Organize all gathered data into a transferable “take-off” package for awarded projects.

Assist the service estimator with workload as needed.
Pricing & Estimation

Obtain manufacturer pricing using online pricing systems, quote requests, or price books.

Gather cost estimates for logistics, including lifting equipment, freight, and transit.

Formulate labor costs based on internal labor guides and consultation with operations leadership.

Calculate budget and sell prices for proposals, ensuring accuracy in estimates.
Proposal Generation

Develop proposals with detailed product descriptions, pricing, and required bid documentation.

Ensure proposals include accurate descriptions, quantities, scope of work, exclusions, and qualifications.
Additional Responsibilities & Team Collaboration

Serve as part of the sales team, assisting with tasks beyond core responsibilities as needed.

Develop thorough knowledge of product lines to provide skilled quotations for parts, components, and replacement products (training provided).

Collaborate with internal teams to contribute to overall sales success and company growth.
