Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, customer-oriented Leasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in attracting, leasing, and retaining residents in a thriving multi-family residential community. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service, managing the leasing process from start to finish, and maintaining positive relationships with current and prospective residents.
Key Responsibilities:

Leasing & Sales:

Promote available apartments and conduct tours of the community to prospective residents.

Provide accurate information regarding apartment features, pricing, availability, and lease terms.

Assist prospective residents with the application and move-in process, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.

Maintain a high closing ratio by utilizing effective sales techniques and building rapport with prospective tenants.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Respond to phone calls, emails, and online inquiries in a timely manner.

Foster positive relationships with residents to ensure high retention rates.

Administrative Support:

Process rental applications, including conducting background and credit checks.
-
Ensure accurate and up-to-date resident files and records.

Assist with preparing and executing lease agreements, renewals, and move-in/move-out documentation.

Monitor and maintain the availability of apartment units and track lease expirations.

Marketing & Community Representation:

Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants.

Promote the community through social media, online platforms, and in-person interactions.

Maintain knowledge of local market trends and competitor properties to effectively position the community.

Leasing Compliance:

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in all leasing and rental procedures.

Adhere to Fair Housing laws and company policies to guarantee a safe and non-discriminatory environment for all residents and applicants.

Community Maintenance & Cleanliness:

Monitor the condition of common areas and apartment units to ensure they are well-maintained and show-ready.

Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department or manager.

Qualifications:
-
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher is a plus).

Experience: Previous experience in leasing, sales, or customer service is preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to build relationships and resolve conflicts with residents and prospective tenants.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of leasing and property management software is a plus (e.g., Yardi, RealPage).

Basic knowledge of fair housing laws and rental practices.
