Our client, an educationally focused association, is seeking a temporary to permanent Government Relations Sr. Assistant to support their busy VP and two Directors!
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive email and calendar support.
- Coordinate travel, visits to Capitol Hill, and meetings with stakeholders.
- Serve as the liaison between the association and outside organizations.
- Support policy initiatives through research, analysis, brief drafting, legislative summaries, etc.
- Provide additional departmental support through additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a government affairs or public policy setting are required.
- Experience working in a non-profit or association setting is highly desired.
- Interested in policy and advocacy.
- Quick-thinking self-starter who is confident in making independent decisions.
Position Information:
- $25/hr-$32/hr, while temporary
- $75K-$80K, when permanent
- Robust benefits package when permanent!
- Hybrid with 3-4 days/week onsite in Washington, DC.
- Office is metro accessible!
