Our client is seeking Event Temps to assist in an upcoming expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Event Dates/Hours:
- Thursday, July 3, 2025: 7:30 AM – 9:00 PM
- Friday, July 4, 2025: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Saturday, July 5, 2025: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Sunday, July 6, 2025: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Assignment Details:
You will help with any of the following tasks through the day –
Stocker:
- Assist with all products. Additional duties as assigned.
- Assist with booth deliveries, unload deliveries (600+ boxes a day), and store appropriately in the stock room.
- Sorting and organizing inventory, stocking shelves, breaking down cardboard, and taking out garbage cans.
- Utilize best practices for storage, identification, and stock location – considering height and weight limits, turnover, and stock room.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of merchandise, using product knowledge in relevant and creative ways to organize stock room by category.
Ringer/Packer:
- Understand P.O.S. equipment, product items, payment, and receipt functions. Additional duties as assigned.
- Greet customers and provide extraordinary customer service.
- Complete Point-Of-Sale transactions. Funko is cashless. We accept credit cards, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. Attend P.O.S. training.
- Efficient bag products and include any promotional products as instructed. Do not damage product packaging.
- Be considerate and work in cooperation with other Ringers to gather and bag products. It is a small space.
- Keep the countertop clean and free of clutter, trash, etc. Transfer trash to the outside of booth receptacles as instructed.
Line Control/Security:
- Maintain order, safety, and fire safety guidelines, and provide information to guest inquiries regarding products, times, convention hours, etc. Additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain the integrity of the line.
- Ensure attendees know when and where to queue for the booth for their timeslot.
- Ensure attendees have the appropriate booth entry documentation, if applicable.
- One entry per code. No additional guests may enter except for unaccompanied minors.
- All guests may attend after completion of the scheduled entries – general admission.
Everyone is expected to do the following in addition to their assigned duties:
- Help with inventory (unboxing, stocking, collapsing recyclables, organizing, etc.)
- Keeping the booth clean and organized
- Assist with organizing and preparing for end-of-show inventory counts and participate in booth inventory counts.
Dress Code:
- Jeans or slacks on the bottom (no rips, no see-through leggings, no basketball shorts), staff shirt that will be provided upon arrival, and comfortable shoes.
Rate:
- $18.50/hr
