Beacon Hill is hiring! We have partnered with a reputable higher education insitutition in hiring a Compensation Analyst to start immediately. This is a contract to hire position.
We are seeking a talented Compensation Analyst to join our HR team. The Compensation Analyst will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing salary data, conducting job evaluations, and assisting in the development and implementation of compensation programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of compensation principles and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market analysis to determine competitive salary ranges for various positions within the organization.
- Analyze internal salary data to ensure consistency across the organization.
- Participate in salary surveys and benchmarking studies to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, including base pay, incentives, and bonuses.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to develop job descriptions and evaluate new and existing positions.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to management on compensation-related issues, such as salary offers, promotions, and adjustments.
- Prepare and present reports and presentations on compensation-related topics to key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing compensation practices.
- Support annual salary review processes and merit increase programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to compensation activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in compensation analysis or a similar role.
- Profiency in PeopleSoft is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate large data sets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of compensation laws and regulations is preferred.
