Our client, a leading non-profit organization in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a contract-to-hire Program Facilitator to lead and support multiple hands-on STEM programs for middle and high school students. This role is essential in inspiring youth through lab-based educational experiences and in building strong relationships with schools, community groups, and startup mentors. The ideal candidate will be confident in leading workshops, adaptable to diverse learning styles, and enthusiastic about working with students in both classroom and lab settings.
About You:
- Experience in STEM education, youth development, or program facilitation in school or community settings.
- Ability to engage and inspire middle and high school students from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs and stakeholders.
- Comfort working in lab or workshop environments and familiarity with hands-on educational tools.
- Experience collaborating with teachers, startups, or community organizations is highly preferred.
- Flexible schedule availability during regular business hours, with occasional after-hours commitments.
About the Job:
- Lead and facilitate 4-6 STEM-based youth programs weekly, coordinating with schools, community partners, and internal teams.
- Manage all aspects of program delivery including attendance, materials preparation, and mentor engagement.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager and Coordinator to develop and improve STEM curriculum that aligns with industry trends.
- Serve as the main point of contact for educators, chaperones, and community-based organizations.
- Support outreach, reporting, and evaluation efforts, including site visits, grant documentation, and budget tracking.
- Represent the client at events and in the community to promote youth programming and build strategic partnerships.
This is a contract-to-hire position is fully onsite and offers competitive compensation starting at $32.69, depending on experience.
