We’re hiring! Beacon Hill has partnered with a real estate property management company in Northbrook, IL in hiring a part-time Assistant Property Manager to start immediately. This role will support the day-to-day operations with tenant relations, administrative duties, rent collection, maintenance coordination, and leasing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily operations of the property or properties under management
- Respond to tenant inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests promptly and professionally
- Coordinate and follow up on maintenance work orders and vendor services
- Support leasing activities including showing units, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements
- Collect and process rent payments, post charges, and assist with delinquency follow-ups
- Maintain accurate records of tenants, leases, insurance certificates, inspections, and work orders
- Conduct property inspections as needed
- Assist with marketing and tenant retention efforts
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal housing regulations
- Provide general administrative support including phone coverage, filing, and data entry
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property management, leasing, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, dependable, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with property management software is a plus (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in business or real estate a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required depending on property locations
