Our client, a progressive, innovative nonprofit organization in the religious sector is seeking a full-time Interim Administrative Director for an approximately six-month temporary assignment, with potential for permanent hire. This on-site role is located in West Newton, MA, with parking available and access to the Green Line. Hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and the pay range is $35-$40/hour, with a possible permanent salary of $80K-$95K. The organization is undergoing a staff restructuring and seeks a committed candidate with strong administrative and office management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise administrative and A/V assistants; ensure timely completion of office tasks
- Manage office functions including mail, check processing, and vendor coordination
- Support payroll and bookkeeping coordination
- Assist with membership renewal and bnei mitzvah logistics
- Handle logistics for special events and weekly services
- Serve as liaison with venue partners and oversee service-related logistics
- Provide administrative support to the Board and Executive Committee
Candidate Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of administrative or office management experience
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, QuickBooks, PowerPoint, and Zoom
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Judaism and Shulcloud is a plus
- Must be able to work in-person in West Newton, including some evenings and holidays
