Our client, a university located in Waltham, is seeking a Department Coordinator to join their team on a contract basis. The hours for this full-time, onsite role are Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM, and it is compensating $30 an hour. Qualified and interested candidates are encouraged to apply today for immediate consideration!
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day administrative duties including supply ordering, payment processing, and document preparation
- Schedule and coordinate impactful events and meetings with minimal supervision
- Maintain departmental logs, databases, and website content to ensure accuracy
- Generate reports, presentations, and summaries using MS Office tools
- Serve as a front-line contact for internal and external inquiries
- Coordinate with vendors and support communication initiatives
- Assist in guiding student workers and handling various tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information
- Previous experience in higher education or student-focused roles is a plus
