A prestigious higher education institution in Cambridge is seeking a Temporary Marketing Assistant to join their team for a 3+ month onsite role supporting a busy fall events season. This full-time position runs Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week) and offers $29.50/hour. The role involves providing administrative and marketing support to senior marketing leadership, coordinating event logistics, and assisting with conferences both on and off campus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit, and prepare correspondence, presentations, agendas, and meeting materials.
- Support and coordinate logistics for conferences, webinars, and marketing events, including set-up, breakdown, and material transport.
- Maintain marketing assets, contact lists, and communications inboxes.
- Schedule meetings, arrange travel, and process vendor invoices.
- Collaborate with event organizers to confirm presence and logistics for marketing activities.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; 3-5 years of administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven conference/event support experience and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Slack, Google Docs, or Quip preferred.
- Ability to work onsite at least 3 days/week (up to 5 when needed) and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Prior marketing or higher education experience is a plus.
