Our client, a biotech company in Lexington, is seeking a part-time Administrative & Events Coordinator to provide office support, visitor management, and event coordination. The position offers $25/hour, 10-20 hours per week, and it slated to go through mid-2026, with potential to convert permanent. The role is fully on-site (with occasional off-site event responsibilities) and includes free parking. Hours are flexible within Monday-Friday, with some adjustments based on event scheduling.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain office organization, supplies, and kitchen essentials
- Manage recurring grocery orders, mail distribution, and office vendor relationships
- Provide administrative support including catering, meeting setup, and receipt tracking
- Assist with guest greetings, particularly for executive visitors
- Plan and coordinate office events, social gatherings, and seasonal activities
- Act as liaison with vendors, manage contracts, and oversee event logistics
- Support with company swag orders and event photo capturing
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a smaller biotech or startup environment
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Experience in office coordination; event planning background a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with digital tools
- Professional, proactive, and able to work independently
- Personable and mature, comfortable interacting with executives and board members
- Ability to lift light supplies for restocking and event setup
