Our client, in the real estate industry, is seeking an HR Business Partner to join their team based out of Columbia, MD!
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with managers and leadership to understand internal activities and provide strategic recommendations for current or upcoming needs.
- Develop, maintain, and implement policies and procedures.
- Support the recruitment process by preparing job descriptions, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and working closely with hiring managers.
- Assist with offer letters and employee onboarding and/or offboarding.
- Handle employee relations tasks including investigations, performance plans, and terminations.
- Serve as a subject-matter-expert to managers on compensation guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience required, with a minimum of 2+ as an HRBP.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
- Ability to travel to Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland to visit other offices as needed, approximately 20% for office/employee matters, interviews, team building events.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting strategic recommendations to managers/leadership.
About the Role:
- Salary range of $85K-$100K (DOE) with an annual bonus structure.
