Temporary Customer Service Representative
Location: Boston, MA – Onsite (5 days/week)
Duration: 3+ months
Compensation: $21/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Potential for Permanent Hire: Yes ($40K annually)
About the Role:
We are partnering with a well-established company in the insurance industry to find a Temporary Customer Service Representative for an immediate opening at their Boston office. This is a fully onsite role located steps from South Station, offering a great opportunity to gain experience in a professional, fast-paced environment.
While classified as customer service, the role has a strong administrative focus and involves supporting internal operations, handling policy updates, and managing customer inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound calls from customers, agents, and third parties with professionalism and courtesy
- Accurately enter and update policy data and customer information in internal systems
- Process policy changes and support internal administrative projects
- Research and resolve customer or agent inquiries, escalating complex issues as needed
- Respond to questions related to policy coverage, billing, and general service
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- Deliver accurate and timely follow-up to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, and a solution-oriented mindset in all interactions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred
- Previous experience in insurance, customer service, or administrative support a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion
