Beacon Hill is hiring! We have partnered with a religious based organization in downtown Chicago in hiring for a Benefits Specialist to start immediately. This role will handle day-to-day benefits administration, assist employees with general benefit inquiries, ensure accuracy through audits, and support special projects and new program implementation. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled in HRIS systems as well as Word and Excel.
Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
- Respond to general benefits-related questions from employees in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Partner with the Benefits Manager on special projects and rollout of new programs.
- Maintain and update benefits information within the HRIS system.
- Prepare reports and provide data analysis related to benefits utilization and trends.
- Assist with benefits-related communications, open enrollment, and vendor coordination.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local benefits regulations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in employee benefits administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience working with HRIS systems, preferably UKG.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage audits and data accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
