Our client is a proud, family-owned construction company that has been serving our community since 1965. With nearly 60 years of experience and a dedicated team of about 100 employees, they are looking to bring on a dedicated HR Manager to build and lead our human resources function. This is a hands-on, highly visible role for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys balancing recruiting with all other aspects of HR.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruiting:
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for field and office roles, including posting jobs, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and build a pipeline of talent.
- Strengthen employer branding and relationships with trade schools, local organizations, and referral networks.
- Human Resources Management:
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices to support compliance and company culture.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Oversee benefits administration, and leave management in partnership with leadership and vendors.
- Drive initiatives around training, development, and retention.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Strong recruiting background with the ability to hire across a range of roles.
- Hands-on experience across HR disciplines including employee relations, compliance, benefits, and performance management.
- Comfortable being a standalone HR professional and building processes from the ground up.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
Work Environment
- Based at our Deerfield Beach headquarters
- Onsite at least 3-4 days per week with some flexibility
