Our client, an association in Washington, DC, is urgently seeking a temporary State Advocacy Coordinator to join their team ASAP! This full-time role offers the opportunity to support high-impact advocacy initiatives while engaging directly with state and section leaders.
Responsibilities:

Coordinate and implement state and section advocacy efforts, serving as the primary liaison to the State Advocacy Committee.

Track, analyze, and summarize state legislation relevant to the association’s mission.

Develop and distribute policy updates, advocacy communications, and briefing materials.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across government relations activities.

Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in public policy, health policy, or a related field preferred.

2-5 years of professional experience in health policy, advocacy, or government relations.

Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to track and analyze legislation and regulatory activity.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with advocacy or legislative tracking platforms a plus.
Position Information:

Compensation: $35-$36/hr, DOE.

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Location: Washington, DC (primarily onsite) with some travel to Linthicum, MD.
