Our client, a one of the nation’s largest privately held construction firms, is seeking a Temporary to Permanent Receptionist for their brand new Port Washington, Long Island Headquarters. The role requires this person to be onsite 5 days a week from 8:30am-5pm.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and guide visitors to the appropriate areas within the company, ensuring a detail-oriented and friendly experience.
- Answer and direct all phone calls while maintaining professionalism.
- Screen calls and take messages.
- Assist with mail and deliveries, including sorting, distributing, and scheduling courier pickups as needed.
- Manage and distribute incoming mail and correspondence, as well as coordinate express mail services such as FedEx.
- Maintaining a clean and organized reception area that reflects the company’s commitment to high standards.
- Assist with clerical tasks including photocopying, faxing, filing, and document collation.
- Provide administrative support to all team members as necessary.
- Facilitate the ordering, receiving, and distribution of office supplies to maintain inventory levels.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- At least 2-3+ years of experience in a receptionist or similar administrative role.
- Presentable, personable, professional, organized
- Strong attention to detail
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Compensation:
- Pays up to $24/hr while temping. When perm, pays up to $26/hr + benefits
