Our client, a healthcare organization is seeking a temporary Patient Service Representative (PSR) for their dental specialty in Cambridge, MA. This onsite position is scheduled for 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute break, paying $22/hour for a 6-8 week assignment. The ideal candidate will have prior dental office experience and be comfortable using MS Office; familiarity with Oryx (dental database/CRM) is a plus. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and messages from patients as the first point of contact.
- Register new patients and verify insurance eligibility, advising on co-pay and pre-visit procedures.
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, including referrals and off-site visits.
- De-escalate patient concerns and communicate with internal service areas as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and document messages in tracking systems.
- Support coordination with other MIT Medical specialties and diagnostic testing.
Candidate Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; minimum two years in customer service or administrative roles.
- Prior dental or healthcare office experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and follow-through skills.
- Effective, professional telephone manner and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping.
