A leading healthcare organization in Boston is seeking a remote Onboarding Specialist to support members as they transition to their health plan. This full-time role runs through the end of the year, offering $23/hour with hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for new members, conducting outreach calls and providing education on health plan benefits.
- Identify and coordinate existing and new healthcare services through collaboration with internal and external providers.
- Schedule intake appointments and ensure seamless continuity of care during the onboarding process.
- Document member needs, use motivational interviewing to build trust, and encourage engagement in health plan services.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold all compliance, privacy, and company policies.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare, call center, or Medicare/Medicaid settings.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 1 year working with diverse or medically complex populations.
- Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport telephonically.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data entry; comfortable using telehealth tools (video, chat, etc.).
- Demonstrated cultural awareness, accountability, and commitment to quality care.
