Our client, a law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a contract-to-hire Human Resources Manager to join their team!
About the Job:
* Manages paralegal workflow and monthly profitability.
* Partner with the benefits team, identify training needs, and proactively revise programs.
* Coach staff on any human resource-related issues and document all incidents.
* Support performance evaluations, bonus programs, and daily coaching.
* Manage firm culture and maintain an environment of trust and empowerment.
* Other duties and special projects as required to support HR objectives.
About You:
* A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field is required; A post-graduate degree is a plus!
* 10+ years of HR Manager or Generalist experience are required for this role, preferably out of a law firm or professional services firm.
* Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws.
* Able to respond quickly to changing priorities and efficiently solve problems.
* Exercises strong decision-making skills with the upmost discretion and confidentiality.
About the Position:
* $40/hr-$70/hr, depending on experience.
* Potential for this position to become permanent.
* If converted to permanent, $110k-$170k.
* Onsite 4 days/week in Washington, DC.
