Our client, a mission-driven labor organization, is seeking an Administrative Manager/Office Manager to support their Boston office. This fully onsite role pays $30/hr and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-centered environment.
Title: Administrative Manager / Office Manager
Location: Downtown Boston
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9-5 (30-min unpaid lunch)
Duration: 6-month contract with potential to extend
Pay: $30/hr
About the Role:
This position oversees day-to-day operations for two office locations and manages a small admin team. The Administrative Manager will handle office operations, HR support, logistics for meetings and events, and provide administrative assistance to leadership. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise two administrative staff
* Support onboarding, offboarding, and recruitment
* Manage office facilities, vendor relationships, and maintenance
* Coordinate logistics for events, campaigns, and inventory
* Provide administrative and reporting support to the Staff Director
* Liaise with headquarters for HR, payroll, IT, and office services
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience running a busy office with strong organizational skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Proficiency in MS Office; advanced Excel a plus
* Ability to handle confidential information and juggle competing priorities
* Comfort working with a diverse community; Spanish fluency preferred
