A family-owned, long-established property management company in Providence, RI is seeking a Leasing & Management Assistant to support daily office operations and resident relations. This is a 100% onsite, full-time role starting ASAP, paying $20-$21/hr, with 9:00 AM-5:00 PM hours. The assignment is a few months with potential to go temp-to-hire, and the interview process includes a Teams meeting followed by an onsite interview. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as first point of contact for residents and visitors; provide excellent customer service
- Manage phone reception, messages, work orders, and general office correspondence
- Assist with move-ins, parking assignments, rental activities, and resident concerns
- Maintain resident files, process rent checks, and prepare reports and letters
- Schedule inspections, services, and coordinate communication with residents
- Support office operations including supply ordering and equipment maintenance
- Assist with rental applications, resident events, and other duties as needed
Candidate Qualifications
- Must have affordable housing experience (HUD, Tax Credit, Section 8 required)
- Must be bilingual in Spanish
- Strong customer service, communication, and administrative skills
- Prior office experience and ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple priorities
