Our cleint, an innovative Investment Bank with a close-knit, family-oriented culture located inMidtown, Manhattan is seeking to hire a Temporary to Permanent Administrative Assistant to the Events Team. This position will start heavier on the administrative side in support of event planning. Over time and with growth, this position will become more events-focused and will require travel including weekends, and offer client and executive facing opportunities. This role will require 4 days on-site with Fridays remote. Hours are 9am-5pm with some exceptions for days of events. The ideal candidate has an interest in events and is looking to grow and develop their skills in the events space.
Responsibilities:
- Support the events team of 3 with administrative tasks including expenses and learning their internal registration system
- Use MS Excel to track and manage invite lists, attendees’ RSVPs and other items as needed
- Manage the ordering, shipping and storing of supplies and inventory; should be able to lift boxes up to 30 pounds
- Assist with event calendar management and travel booking as needed
Qualifications:
- 4-year degree strongly preferred
- 6 months+ of work experience; exposure to events is strongly preferred
- Team player with no task too big or small mentality; able to take and follow direction well
- Strong personality with a mature and professional demeanor
Compensation:
- 55-65K base + Paid OT + Great benefits
