Our client, a leading organization in the financial services sector, is seeking a Vice President of Events to lead the strategy and execution of high-profile events. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to manage complex programs for senior executives. The position is hybrid (3 days onsite in Manhattan, 2 remote), with flexibility based on event schedules and travel requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute end-to-end event strategies for conferences, client meetings, and VIP programs
- Oversee all event logistics, including registration, communications, travel, and hospitality
- Partner with C-suite leaders to design impactful programs aligned with business objectives
- Manage event budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure compliance with financial policies
- Deliver high-touch service to enhance client relationships and brand presence
- Stay current on industry trends and integrate innovative ideas into event planning
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7+ years of event management experience; financial services background preferred
- Proven success managing complex, high-touch events for senior executives
- Strong strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; professional demeanor
- Proficiency in event management platforms (e.g., Cvent) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and travel as needed
