Our client, an incredible mission-driven nonprofit, is seeking a versatile Human Resources Generalist to spearhead HR initiatives for the organization in Bethesda!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain policies, processes, and procedures, to improve organizational effectiveness.
- Manage recruitment initiatives and serve as the point-of-contact for any external vendors.
- Handle all onboarding, offboarding, orientation needs, terminations, and exit interviews.
- Maintain personnel records and compliance.
- Oversee administration of benefits, insurance, and compensation programs.
- Process payroll and track timekeeping records.
- Handle employee relations matters through investigations, making recommendations on ways to resolve.
- Spearhead employee engagement and recognition programming.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of well-rounded HR experience is required
- A bachelor’s degree is required; a PHR or SHRM certification is preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize are key.
- Phenomenal written and verbal communication skills with a passion for employee engagement and customer service.
- Strong understanding of HR-related laws and compliance.
- Excellent organizational skills.
About the Role:
- Salary range of $74K-$84K, DOE.
- Fantastic benefits package including a strong retirement contribution!
- Comfortable working in the Bethesda, MD office 3 days/week.
