A Greensboro law firm is seeking a Part-Time Legal Assistant to support a Partner and assist with the day-to-day needs of a busy practice. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, takes initiative, and is comfortable handling a variety of tasks in a small office environment.
This is not a highly specialized legal role. The attorney is looking for someone dependable with a strong work ethic and a willingness to jump in wherever needed. The right candidate will be comfortable balancing administrative tasks, document preparation, filing, and general office support.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal and administrative support to a Partner and other team members as needed
- Prepare, draft, and revise legal documents, correspondence, and court filings
- Manage electronic filing and traditional paper filing systems
- Organize, scan, copy, and maintain client and case files
- Assist with matters related to real estate law, foreclosures, HOA disputes, evictions, probate, and estate planning
- Track deadlines and maintain case documentation
- Handle a variety of day-to-day office tasks to help keep the practice running efficiently
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Previous legal assistant, paralegal, or administrative support experience preferred
- Experience with court e-filing is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and standard office technology
- Notary Public certification is a plus, but not required
