An association client is seeking a Program & Event Specialist to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis in Arlington, VA.
About the Job:
- Coordinate speakers, programming, and participation for department related events
- Drive engagement and attendance across division initiatives
- Assist in the production of thought leadership content, including articles and interviews
- Maintain strong relationships with high‑level volunteers and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with teams and leadership to ensure smooth execution of initiatives
- Participate in occasional travel, up to six times per year
About You:
- Strong communicator with the ability to engage confidently with senior‑level leaders and volunteers
- Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Able to thrive in a structured environment with a very direct supervisor
- Professional, dependable, and relationship‑oriented
- Experience supporting programs, events, or stakeholder‑driven initiatives is strongly preferred
About the Position:
- Contract‑to‑hire opportunity with an ASAP start
- Pays $32-35/hr during the contract phase
- Conversion salary of $50,000-70,000
- Hybrid role based in Arlington, VA (typically 2 days onsite / 3 days remote)
- Standard 40‑hour work week
