About the Role
The Printing Operations Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations of the organization’s print center and mailroom. This position supports internal staff by managing printing projects, maintaining equipment, processing mail, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a professional office setting.
Responsibilities
- Operate digital press machines (e.g., Sharp or similar) to produce a variety of print materials, including spiral‑bound binders and mass mailings
- Receive, track, and complete print requests submitted via email or walk‑in
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic printer malfunctions and coordinate service needs
- Process, distribute, and track incoming and outgoing mail and parcels
- Manage courier deliveries (UPS, FedEx, USPS) and retrieve time‑sensitive documents
- Operate mail equipment; code, meter, and track outbound mail
- Assist employees with questions about mailing procedures, rates, and print requests
- Conduct toner inventory twice per month across all floors; order supplies as needed
- Communicate effectively with staff both in person and via email
- Perform additional duties as assigned
About You
- 3+ years of experience in professional office environments, print shops, digital press services, or mailroom operations
- Strong knowledge of professional printer/copier/scanner equipment
- High school diploma or GED required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using technology
About the Position
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 4-6 months
- Hourly Pay: $27-$30/hr
- Schedule: 9:00 AM-5:30 PM (40‑hour work week)
- Work Environment: Fully on-site
- Location: Downtown Washington, DC (metro accessible)
