An architecture client is seeking an Office Assistant to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis in Washington, D.C.
About the Job:
- Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors and callers.
- Manage front‑desk activity and oversee a professional reception environment.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Maintain office supply inventory, including coffee, water, and general materials.
- Coordinate conference room reservations and support firmwide scheduling.
- Keep shared spaces clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Run local errands such as picking up lunches and purchasing supplies.
- Assist with data entry, document preparation, travel arrangements, and general administrative tasks.
About You:
- Strong communicator who engages professionally with visitors, staff, and vendors
- Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities
- Dependable, polished, and able to maintain a professional front‑desk presence
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Comfortable lifting up to 30 lbs. and staying active throughout the day
- Reliable work ethic with a focus on supporting smooth office operations
- 2+ years of experience
About the Position:
- Full‑time onsite
- Metro accessible
- Hours are typically 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Temporary to permanent assignment paying $25 per hour
