Operations Specialist (Brokerage Operations)

Position Overview
This role supports brokerage and investment operations, including client onboarding, account maintenance, asset movement, and transaction processing. The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-heavy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support client onboarding and account setup, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Process transactions, asset transfers, and cash movements within client accounts
- Handle alternative investment processing, including purchases, sales, and cash flow events
- Reconcile account positions and cash activity with external partners and systems
- Serve as a point of contact for internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues
- Respond to inquiries and manage communication via email and phone
- Monitor workflows and adjust priorities to meet service level expectations
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase operational efficiency
- Assist with training and cross-functional support as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in operations, administrative support, or customer service
- Experience within financial services, banking, or investment environments preferred
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- Familiarity with investment accounts, asset transfers, or brokerage operations
- Exposure to alternative investments or financial products
- Interest in pursuing or obtaining FINRA/Securities licensing (SIE, Series 99, etc.)
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong data entry and system navigation skills
- Ability to manage multiple systems and tools simultaneously
