A growing, family-owned packaging company in Franklin Park is seeking a Customer Service Manager to lead and support a small but high-impact customer service team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the work, coaching a team, and serving as a key point of contact for customers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and support a small team of Customer Service Representatives
- Serve as a hands-on manager-jumping in to assist with calls, emails, and problem-solving on busy days
- Act as an escalation point for customer questions related to:
- Shipping and logistics
- Scheduling and production timing
- Purchase orders and materials
- Pickup coordination
- Communicate with brokers and customers when issues arise and help resolve them quickly
- Ensure accurate, timely customer communication by leveraging internal systems and work orders
- Help bring consistency, structure, and best practices to a growing customer service operation
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in customer service, operations support, or account coordination
- 1+ year in customer service management
- Experience in manufacturing, contract packaging, food production, or consumer products is a plus (not required)
- A practical, solutions-oriented mindset and strong “common sense” approach
- Comfortable managing and coaching others while also staying hands-on
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work on-site in a production-based environment
- Experience using ERP or manufacturing systems (experience with Nulogy is a plus)
