Our client, a boutique investment firm located in Midtown, Manhattan is looking for a Temporary Administrative Receptionist for a maternity leave coverage. This position will serve from May 11th through September 2026 and will operate five days in the office between the hours of 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday, with some flexibility for an early leave on Fridays in the Summer.
This position will also play an organizational role in an upcoming office move in June to Flatiron. Compensation up to $27/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Sitting at reception and greeting guests
- Answer and direct incoming calls, acting as s gatekeeper as needed
- Managing conference room turnover and guest offices
- Refreshing rooms and offering beverages to guests
- Ordering, restocking, and organizing pantry (Fresh Direct, Amazon)
- Ordering, picking up, and distributing lunches
- Running errands, including purchasing gifts
- Supporting office move and organizing projects related to relocation
- Ad hoc administrative support such as making reservations
- Light office facilities and administrative support
Qualifications:
- Prior administrative or office support experience
- Strong hospitality and customer service skills
- Professional, discreet, and polished demeanor
- Comfortable with ad hoc and execution-focused tasks
- Helpful to have a corporate background
- Ability to stay productive during slower periods while remaining attentive
